yes, rubens in the plural. i really like this postcard, and i wonder if that toucan just happened to be in the perfect spot when they took this pic of iguassu falls. ah, the magic of photoshop. man i really want to go here one day. one of my friends is in brazil right now, and i hope she got a chance to see this place...

a computer print out of purmerend, a town not that far from amsterdam. the cool thing about these postcards is that i learn geography. take that elementary school!

the red tiled roofs remind me a lot of florence. i wonder if that's true for a lot of countries in europe.

another postcard from germany. i was way off. germany in german is deutschland. so just as gelsenkirchen is a town, so is borna, which is a medium sized town with a large pond (pond not pictured.)

tons of snapshots from the town? gelsenkirchen, or perhaps thats german for "germany," but i don't think so. man i have a lot to learn about other countries. i feel so offensive whenever i write these sentences... blame it on american political correctness.

a very hippyish card from holland (netherlands and holland, apparently interchangeable words. i have no idea actually.) i enjoy the hypnotic colors.

i couldn't tell where this card was from at first. poznan is a town in poland, according to milosz, not too small and not too big. the buildings look really old, but historic.

a very wide postcard from new zealand. on the back, liz said they have a flower in new zealand from the pohutakawa tree that the earlier it flowers, the hotter summer will be. do they even have seasons in new zealand? i think it's the weird winter when it's summer thing.

a friendly (i think) little man from iceland with a map, looking like he has a five o'clock shadow. but he's not all that bad! notice the daisies in his front pocket. aww.

yet another from the awesome finns. apparently there are a lot of trees in finland. and a lake! things other than snow. you'd be surprised the things you learn from receiving postcards.
